Eskimos often used to refer to the Inuit people, but it is considered a derogatory term and should not be used; Inuit is the preferred term, meaning the people in their language and is considered the correct way to refer to this group of indigenous people from the Arctic region. This Image shows an Inuit Native figure, dressed in his sealskins, and playing a traditional frame Drum called a Qilaut. It stands about 10 inches tall and 8 inches wide, clearly carved Canada on its base, and in remarkably good condition.
